Aircraft or simulator?

In accordance with Appendix 9 to the Part-FCL, there is a period of the of the three months (90 days) before the expiry date of the current type rating to complete the license proficiency check - LPC. The license proficiency check - LPC may be performed on any of the Cessna C525 Citation variants.

For the license proficiency check purposes, either a simulator (Full Flight Simulator - FFS), or the actual Cessna C525 Citation airplane representing Cessna C525 Citation type may be used.

Combination of the different types of the flight synthetic training devices (FSTD) i.e. - full flight simulator (FFS) and flight training device (FTD) is possible. The only requirement is that all flight synthetic training devices comply with the EASA TCDS for Cessna C525 Citation type. A combination of the check on the actual Cessna C525 Citation airplane and various flight synthetic training devices (FSTD) is also possible.

Further requirements for the specific cockpit layout of the simulator and for the specific avionics or equipment of the simulator may be specified by the licensing authority of the candidate.

In accordance with the EASA type certification - EASA TCDS (Type Certificate Data Sheet), there are several variants which represents the type Cessna C525 Citation.

EASA TCDS recognizes the following variants of the Cessna C525 Citation type:

  • Cessna C525 Citation Jet (CJ)
  • Cessna C525 Citation (CJ1 and CJ1+)
  • Cessna C525A Citation (CJ2+ and CJ2)
  • Cessna C525B Citation (CJ3)
  • Cessna C525C Citation (CJ4)
  • Cessna C525 Citation M2
